      Boardmaker Creative Workshop

      Boardmaker: Supporting Communication, Behaviour and Learning For over 30 years Boardmaker and Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) have been the go-to solution for teachers, speech and language therapists and parents wanting to create accessible and engaging resources to meet the communication, education and behaviour needs of those they support. Join us for an interactive workshop learning about how PCS and Boardmaker can help you create, plan and implement: A Communication Friendly Environment: enabling interaction and engagement of all Positive Behaviour Supports: providing appropriate tools so potential can be realised     Inclusive Learning Opportunities: using ready-made and “from scratch” resources We will take a close look at Boardmaker solutions, the PCS libraries and its evolution to include symbols appropriate for all environments, as well as dive into using pre-made (and free!) curriculum supports like Core First Learning and Boardmaker Activities to Go. She received a B.S. in Special Education specialising in PMLD from East Carolina University. In her current role at Tobii Dynavox she presents and delivers training throughout the UK and Ireland on implementation strategies supporting people using AAC.
